Crossword Cafe Guidelines
The guidelines are designed to allow all who are using the center to enjoy the center in a healthy, safe, and Christ-like environment. The following behaviors are encouraged:
- Dress Code:
- Provocative clothing may not be worn in the center. (Examples are clothing with profanity, offensive symbols or language, or clothing revealing undergarments).
- Other inappropriate clothing may not be worn in the center, as deemed by the staff.
- The Cafe will not tolerate swearing, cursing or using profane language.
- Please be respectful of our facilities and don’t horseplay.
- Public displays of affection between students will not be allowed.
- Please use the internet responsibly (No adult or gambling websites).
- Music played will be clean music without a Parental Advisory warning label.
- Games played in the center will be marked “E” for everyone or “T” for teen.
- No hustling, gambling, or unauthorized selling.
- Inappropriate use of cell phones for social media sites will not be tolerated.
Important Reminders
- Check in and out of the Cafe during your visit.
- Treat everyone with respect.
- Treat equipment and Youth Center property with respect.
- If you have questions, ask a staff member.
- If you have problems, share with a staff member.
- Please clean up after yourself.
The Guidelines listed above will be subject to the following progressive disciplinary policy:
- First offense to guidelines will result in a verbal warning.
- Second offense to guidelines will result in a written warning.
- Third offense to guidelines will result in being dismissed from the center for one week,with parent notification.
- Fourth offense to guidelines will result in being dismissed from the center for the remainder of the semester, with parent notification.
- Serious offenses (i.e., fighting, disrespect of staff, etc.) may result in an incident review team ruling for the incident. The incident review team would also impose the disciplinary action and duration for the offense
